Japanese Souvenirs

Looking for something special to take back home after your stint in Japan?

Today (June 19th), I entered an intriguing little store that is run by a Mr Nakazawa. The store, although limited in size, holds hundreds of wonderful treasures from Japan's vast history. I was particularly interested in special wooden pillows, the very ornate obi, and the samurai protective armour.

There are things to fit any budget and Mr Nakazawa is a pleasure to meet. He doesn't speak English but don't be put off by that.

The reason he opened his store is that he was near the end of his career in the automotive industry and he wanted to retire early and do something he liked; he has a passion for telling others of Japanese history.

So if you are in the market for some not too expensive Japanese antiques go to see Mr Nakazawa at Antique Shop IPPEI, Sekime2-3-2,Joto-Ku, OSAKA
